When you want to take a driving test or renew your existing driving license, you must first undergo a medical examination for a driving license in order to obtain Certificate of physical and mental fitness to drive a vehicle.

YOU NEED TO BRING THE FOLLOWING TO YOUR MEDICAL EXAMINATION:

  • Driver's license if required RENEWAL OR TRANSFER driver's license
  • ID card
  • Health card
  • A certificate from a chosen family doctor no older than 1 month (extract from the health record regarding your current health status)
  • Medical documentation/findings if you suffer from any diseases/conditions
  • Glasses or lenses if you use them
  • RA-1 form (referral) issued and completed by your employer (if you were sent for a check-up by your employer)

MEDICAL EXAMINATION FOR PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS (C,D,E,H)

Medical examinations for professional drivers are carried out regularly every 5 years or when renewing a driver's license.

Medical examinations of driving instructors and drivers of category B vehicles who use a driver's license for professional purposes are carried out regularly every 10 years or when renewing a driver's license.

MEDICAL EXAMINATION FOR AMATEUR DRIVERS (AM,A,B,F,G)

  • RENEWAL - Medical examinations of amateur drivers are carried out when renewing a driver's license, if the obligation to undergo a medical examination is established by the health certificate on the basis of which the driver's license was issued.
  • REGULAR SUPERVISORY EXAMINATION - examination of the driver within the period specified by the occupational medicine specialist, selected doctor or psychologist during the medical examination, provided that this period cannot be shorter than 1 year
  • FOREIGN DRIVERS - medical examination for the exchange of foreign driving licenses
  • EXTRAORDINARY SUPERVISORY HEALTH examination of the driver.

  • The cost of an extraordinary medical examination for professional drivers is 100 euros
