When you want to take a driving test or renew your existing driving license, you must first undergo a medical examination for a driving license in order to obtain a Certificate of physical and mental fitness to drive a vehicle.

What to bring to your medical examination

Medical examinations for professional drivers are carried out regularly every 5 years or when renewing a driver's license.
Medical examinations of driving instructors and drivers of category B vehicles who use a driver's license for professional purposes are carried out regularly every 10 years or when renewing a driver's license.
Medical examination for amateur drivers (AM, A, B, F, G)
- Renewal – examinations are carried out when renewing a driver's license, if the obligation to undergo a medical examination is established by the health certificate on the basis of which the license was issued.
- Regular supervisory examination – examination within the period specified by the occupational medicine specialist (no shorter than 1 year).
